It Is Personal!

Youve Got Mail - Crop

In the 1998 Movie You’ve Got Mail, Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) tells Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan)

“It’s not personal. It’s business.”

At DuMond Printing, business IS personal.

That’s the whole point.

We take your personal ideas and projects to fulfill them with capabilities and expertise you may not have at home.

As an example, I’m not a woodworker. I can take my Wooden Bowlidea for a specific project – say a turned bowl – and draw it out roughly for friend-husband. He can take that drawing, refine it, and then take a piece of wood to his lathe and turn a beautiful wooden bowl.

He might not have come up with the original design, but he could refine mine. Then he could execute it because he has the proper equipment and the practiced expertise.

This is precisely the combination we strive to give our customers.

You come in with an approximate idea.  When you give it to us, we will produce one or two variations for your approval or changes.

Communication is key.  In these immortal words …

“ I know you think you understand what you thought I said but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”  ― Alan Greenspan

So pretend we’re talking on the phone, and you’re trying to tell me what shade of green you want on your project. Without a chart like this one, I will have no idea.
What, for instance, is the exact difference between parakeet and shamrock or lime and chartreuse?
That’s why we do a couple of samples ( we call them proofs) for you to look at.
You can then tell me if you want your green a shade brighter or a little more yellow. We can adjust from there.
The original idea is yours. The creative aspect is yours.
We simply have the proper equipment and the practiced expertise to execute your idea professionally.
At DuMond Printing, everything is personal.
We want to fill your personalized needs precisely to your satisfaction.
While it’s personal, it is our business.
