Well, the New Year Celebration has come and gone. Things are back to normal again. But we hope for a better “normal” than last year. We hope to see fewer episodes of violence, hatred, and prejudice world-wide.
We are four days into 2018, plenty of time to have forgotten or broken at least half the resolutions we made on the last day of December.
A post I recently read on Facebook talked about “becoming”. In essence, it said change is a process that happens inch by inch, not mile by mile.
Perhaps our resolutions should take the form of making incremental change. Instead of resolving to be better organized. What would happen if we decided to just one thing differently, a little better or more effectively, today than we have been doing it? Then tomorrow, we can resolve to do one more thing differently or this same thing a little more differently. Just a little food for thought.
